My story
With more than 30 years in legal technology, including over two decades as a Chief Information Officer, I have led meaningful, durable transformation inside law firms. My work has focused on turning underperforming or fragmented IT functions into high-performing, trusted partners to the business, grounded in accountability, collaboration, and results.
My approach is inherently relational. I build trust quickly, listen carefully, and work across roles and perspectives to create shared understanding and forward momentum. Whether advising firm leadership or working alongside operational teams, I prioritize clarity, alignment, and practical execution over theory.
Over the course of my career, I have been recognized for leadership and innovation, including receiving ILTA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Litera’s Changing Lawyer Award, and being named to the National Law Journal’s inaugural list of 50 Business of Law Trailblazers and Pioneers. I have also been honored as Outstanding CIO of the Year and IT Director of the Year, and led the creation of Kelley Drye’s first innovation lab, an initiative rooted in design thinking that was recognized by CLOC with its Legal Innovation in Operations Award.
Today, my advisory work reflects the same philosophy that has guided my career. Technology decisions must serve people, strategy, and risk management, not the other way around. I continue to invest deeply in emerging technologies, with a particular focus on Generative AI and its implications for legal organizations, governance, and leadership. This includes advanced executive education through Stanford Law School and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business, ensuring my guidance is informed by both experience and the realities of what is next.
